Refunds & Cancellation Policy

Jump Finance, Inc.

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

1. Overview

This Refunds and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs refund and cancellation requests made in connection with tuition installment plans administered by Jump Finance, Inc. ("Jump Finance") and scholarship contributions made through the Jump Finance platform. This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms and Conditions.

Jump Finance operates as a financial intermediary between students, universities, and donors. Refund eligibility depends on the specific service type and the circumstances of the request, as outlined below.

2. Tuition Installment Plan Payments

2.1 General Policy

Tuition installment payments processed through Jump Finance are payments made toward a student's tuition obligations at a partner university. The refundability of tuition payments is governed primarily by the refund policies of the individual university.

Jump Finance does not independently determine tuition refund eligibility. Any approved tuition refund will be processed in accordance with the partner university's refund schedule and policies.

2.2 Processing Fees

Jump Finance's platform and processing fees are non-refundable once an installment payment has been processed, except:

  • Where a payment was made in error (e.g., duplicate payment or incorrect amount) and reported within five (5) business days

  • Where a payment processing error was caused solely by Jump Finance's technical systems

  • As otherwise required by applicable law

2.3 How to Request a Tuition Refund

To initiate a refund request for a tuition payment:

  • Contact Jump Finance at legal@jump-finance.com within fifteen (15) days of the payment date

  • Include your full name, student ID, university name, payment date and amount, and the reason for the refund request

  • Jump Finance will coordinate with the partner university to assess eligibility

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within ten (10) to fifteen (15) business days

2.4 Late Fees

Late payment fees charged due to a missed installment are non-refundable unless: (a) the missed payment was the result of a technical error on Jump Finance's platform, or (b) the late fee was charged in error. Disputes must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the fee being assessed.

3. Cancellation of Installment Plans

3.1 Student-Initiated Cancellations

A student may request cancellation of their installment plan by contacting Jump Finance or their university. Cancellation does not extinguish any outstanding tuition obligations owed to the university. The student remains responsible for any unpaid balance under their enrollment agreement with the institution.

Cancellation requests will be reviewed within five (5) business days. Approved cancellations will take effect for future scheduled payments only — payments already processed cannot be reversed through a cancellation request.

3.2 University-Initiated Cancellations

Partner universities may instruct Jump Finance to cancel a student's installment plan in circumstances including, but not limited to: student withdrawal, expulsion, or completion of studies. Jump Finance will promptly communicate any university-initiated cancellation to the affected student.

3.3 Jump Finance-Initiated Cancellations

Jump Finance reserves the right to cancel or suspend an installment plan if:

  • The student provides false or fraudulent information

  • The student's account is flagged for suspicious financial activity

  • The partner university terminates its agreement with Jump Finance

  • Required by applicable law or regulation

4. Scholarship Contributions

4.1 Nature of Scholarship Contributions

Contributions made to support Jump Finance scholarship programs are payments intended to fund tuition support for qualifying students at partner universities in West Africa. By making a scholarship contribution, contributors acknowledge the following:

  • Scholarship contributions are voluntary payments, not purchases of goods or services

  • Contributions are designated to support student financial assistance programs administered by Jump Finance

  • Jump Finance retains discretion in selecting scholarship recipients and disbursing funds based on student need and program availability

4.2 Refund Policy for Scholarship Contributions

Scholarship contributions are generally non-refundable once disbursed to student recipients. However, Jump Finance will consider refund requests in the following limited circumstances:

  • The contribution was made in error (e.g., wrong amount, duplicate transaction) and reported within seven (7) calendar days of the transaction

  • A technical error in Jump Finance's payment processing caused an incorrect charge

  • The contribution was designated for a specific named scholarship that has been discontinued, and the contributor requests reallocation or refund prior to disbursement

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method within fifteen (15) business days of approval. Contributions that have already been disbursed to students cannot be recalled or refunded.

4.3 Tax Status and Contribution Acknowledgment

Jump Finance, Inc. is a for-profit corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware and is not a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Jump Finance scholarship programs are not tax-deductible charitable donations for U.S. federal income tax purposes.

Jump Finance will provide written confirmation of contributions upon request. Contributors are solely responsible for determining the tax treatment of their contribution under applicable law and should consult a qualified tax advisor.

4.4 Foundation and Institutional Contributors

Jump Finance welcomes contributions from private foundations, donor-advised funds, and other institutional contributors. Contributors of this type should be aware of the following:

  • As Jump Finance is a for-profit entity, foundation grants may need to be structured as Program-Related Investments (PRIs) or subject to expenditure responsibility requirements under Section 4945 of the Internal Revenue Code

  • Jump Finance will cooperate with expenditure responsibility obligations, including providing documentation of how contributed funds are used to support student scholarships

  • Donor-advised fund sponsors and public charities should confirm with their legal or compliance advisors whether a contribution to a for-profit entity is permissible under their governing documents before making a contribution

  • Jump Finance will work directly with institutional contributors to provide any reporting, documentation, or grant agreements required to satisfy their compliance obligations

Institutional contributors with specific structuring requirements should contact us at legal@jump-finance.com prior to making a contribution so that appropriate documentation can be arranged.

4.5 Requesting a Scholarship Contribution Refund

To request a refund or reallocation of a scholarship contribution:

  • Email legal@jump-finance.com with the subject line: "Scholarship Contribution Refund Request"

  • Include the contributor's full name, organization (if applicable), contact information, contribution date, amount, and reason for the request

  • Jump Finance will respond within five (5) business days to acknowledge receipt and provide a decision timeline

5. Dispute Resolution

If you believe a refund or cancellation request has been incorrectly denied, you may escalate your dispute by emailing us at the address below and clearly marking the subject line as "Billing Dispute." We will review escalated disputes within ten (10) business days.

If a resolution cannot be reached through direct communication, disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions set forth in our Terms and Conditions.

6. Modifications to This Policy

Jump Finance reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated Effective Date. For installment plans already in effect, the Policy in place at the time of enrollment will govern, unless the student affirmatively agrees to updated terms.
