Atta Lowe, Jump Finance student

The students we work with each have their own unique goals, dreams and stories. Earlier this year, we introduced Albert, Jump Finance’s first customer. Today, we wanted to share a brief interview with another student. Meet Atta Lowe!

Atta is a second-year student at The University of The Gambia. She’s studying math, working towards a career in data science. We sat down with her (remotely!) to talk about her studies and goals.

What is your favorite part of studying at the University of The Gambia?

My studies at UTG are full of the best kind of challenges, unforgettable experiences and friendships. My favorite part of studying at UTG is the great teamwork of students.

What is your dream for your future?

I want to become a data scientist. I don't just want to survive and have a family but to succeed, make a difference and live. I chose to [study to] enlarge my vision, retrain my brain and explore the world.

My studies are full of the best kind of challenges, unforgettable experiences and friendships.

How did you learn about Jump Finance?

I learned about Jump Finance from a friend, and I immediately knew that it was what I needed. I was excited to apply because I am an extrovert.

What does Jump Finance mean to your education?

While education can open many doors, success relies on initiation. I had the desire and determination, but lacked the financial backing needed to achieve my goal of becoming a data scientist.

Jump Finance awarded me an opportunity to pursue the career of my dreams. My desire is to give a little bit extra and do a little bit more, and Jump Finance allowed me to make a difference in the ever-changing and challenging world of my education.

While education can open many doors, success relies on initiation. [T]ake the initiative and make their education not by chance but by choice.

What would you recommend to other students considering using Jump Finance to support their education?

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Jump Finance to support [students’] education. I have been with Jump Finance for the last two semesters and I strongly state that Jump Finance is the right choice.

What do you like to do in your free time when you are not studying?

I like to cook, read, and love volunteering.

Anything else you’d like to tell our readers?

I would like to tell them to take the initiative and make their education not by chance but by choice.
